Dunadry
Walking Club

John
Kerr Chairperson
of Dunadry Walking Club presents
a cheque for the amount of £1300
to Pips Administrator Deirdre
O'Neill.
Dunadry
Walking Club was formed in May
2007 and the membership consists
of local people from the Dunadry
and Templepatrick areas. The
club has volunteer walk leaders
who do risk assesments on any
of our routes as the safety
of walkers is paramount. We
walk on Tuesday evenings and
Wednesday mornings and have
a wide age range of members
that walk on any of the local
rural roads where the walks
can range between 1.5miles to
6.3miles. On Monday 5th May
2008 nineteen of the members
took part in the Belfast Marathon
Walk (9mls) along part of the
Marathon route through Belfast.
Several of the walkers decided to donate their sponsorship
money to the very worthy PIPS
Project and a cheque was handed over at the first ever
Walking Club evening meal in
the Dunadry Hotel on Friday
9th May 2008.
